Biographies


Jonathan Marten - Producer, Director, Writer
Jonathan Marten has an extensive background as actor, writer, director and teacher. Currently the Artistic Director of the Actors Repertory Theatre.
Jonathan has more than 50 productions to his directorial credit. Among his favorites are Luv, Standing On My Knees, the East Coast premiere of Supernormal Clutches, Social Security, Tomfoolery, Blood Ties, The Birds Do It (which he also wrote), Manly Men: An Evening Chock Full of Lies and Testosterone (which he also starred in for the NYC run of the production), Supernormal Clutches and the world premiere of Player's Joy, which he also restaged for the film version. Jonathan has taught acting and offered seminars for companies around the country including New York, Virginia, Maryland and Chicago. Acting credits include: Lenny Bruce, in Lenny, Roy Cohn in Angels In America: Millennium Approaches, Arnold Epstein in Biloxi Blues, Mozart in Amadeus, Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, TV/Film credits include: Spin City, In The Balance, Eddie, Celebrity, Stepmom, and a recurring role on The Edge of Night, Jonathan is co-author of The Reel Life, a play and screenplay satirizing the film industry, now in development with ART.


Tanya Marten – Executive Producer, Actor, Editor, Music
As an independent producer, Tanya is facile at wearing many hats including actor, producer, writer, director, editor and arts manager having managed and worked with theatre and film companies in Los Angeles, NYC and Chicago. Tanya has studied at Carnegie-Mellon University, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London and has an M.F.A. in Acting from Brandeis University. Acting Credits include: Maria in The Sound of Music, Peg, Supernormal Clutches, Yelena in Uncle Vanya, Gwen in Fifth of July, Sarah in Guys & Dolls, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, and Elizabeth in Richard III. TV/Film credits include Bowser Makes a Movie, Ed Wood, Clear and Present Danger, Hollywood & Vine, Sex In The City and Brooklyn Bridge. Tanya is the author of Euphoric Tendencies, an erotic romantic comedy currently in development with ART.
